Helmut Müller-Brühl

Helmut Müller-Brühl

German Conductor and Classical Musician

Helmut Müller-Brühl was a German conductor known for his interpretations of Baroque music, particularly the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Born on November 24, 1933, in Brühl, he was initially trained as a violinist and violist. Müller-Brühl took over the family orchestra, which later became known as the Cologne Chamber Orchestra (Kölner Kammerorchester), transforming it into a professional ensemble. Under his leadership, the orchestra gained international recognition for its authentic performances of Baroque and Classical repertoire.
