Grave Pleasures is a Finnish post-punk band that was originally formed under the name Beastmilk by vocalist Mathew McNerney, also known as Kvohst, in 2010. The group gained underground acclaim with their debut album "Climax" in 2013, which was released while they were still known as Beastmilk. Following internal changes and the departure of some members, the band rebranded itself as Grave Pleasures in 2015. With this new identity, they released the album "Dreamcrash" later that year, which continued to build on their distinctive blend of apocalyptic post-punk and melodic catchiness. In 2017, Grave Pleasures released their second album under the new moniker, titled "Motherblood." This record saw them refining their sound and gaining further recognition within the alternative and rock music scenes. The band's lyrical themes often delve into existentialism, death, and the end of the world, which are complemented by their energetic and gothic-tinged musical style.
