Fist, also known as Hollow Ground, is a British heavy metal band that emerged during the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The band was formed in South Shields, England, and initially gained recognition with their debut album "Turn The Hell On," released in 1980. They were known for their energetic performances and heavy riffs, contributing to the vibrant metal scene of the time. Despite not achieving the same level of commercial success as some of their contemporaries like Iron Maiden or Def Leppard, Fist carved out a niche following among heavy metal enthusiasts.
