Fabio Biondi is an Italian violinist and conductor, renowned for his interpretations of Baroque and Classical music. Born on March 15, 1961, in Palermo, Sicily, Biondi began his international career at the age of 12, performing his first solo concert with the RAI Symphony Orchestra. He has since established himself as a leading figure in the period performance movement. In 1990, he founded Europa Galante, an ensemble that quickly gained a reputation for its dynamic and authentic performances of Baroque and Classical works. With Europa Galante and as a soloist, Biondi has recorded extensively, receiving critical acclaim for his virtuosity and expressive playing. His discography includes a wide range of repertoire from early Baroque to 19th-century music. Biondi's expertise in historically informed performance practice has made him a sought-after artist for both live performances and recordings.
