Egil Johansen was a Swedish jazz drummer of Norwegian origin, known for his work in the Scandinavian jazz scene. Born on January 8, 1934, in Oslo, Norway, he moved to Sweden where he became an influential figure in the jazz community. Throughout his career, Johansen played with a number of prominent jazz musicians and bands, including the Swedish Radio Jazz Group and the Arne Domnérus Quartet. He was recognized for his versatile drumming style and his ability to adapt to various jazz genres.
