Czech Experimental Music Ensemble

The Czech group which went through two different periods of existence in the 1980s. It was started in 1981 by drummer Zdeněk Konopásek along with guitarist Martin Vik and singer Jana Macháčková. In 1983 they went on hiatus until 1987 when Vik and Konopásek returned to the project. They invited poet/actor Radomil Uhlíř and later on, bassist Josef "Ferda" Matoušek to the group and toured as a quartet until 1992, when they changed their name to Kvartet Dr. Konopného (Dr. Konopný's Quartet).
