Duffy is a Welsh singer-songwriter whose real name is Aimee Anne Duffy. She first gained prominence with her 2008 debut album "Rockferry," which became a global success and won her a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album, among other accolades. The album included hits like "Mercy" and "Warwick Avenue," which showcased her distinctive soulful voice reminiscent of past soul greats. Following the success of "Rockferry," Duffy released her second album, "Endlessly," in 2010. However, it did not achieve the same level of commercial or critical success as her debut. After a period away from the spotlight, Duffy revealed in 2020 that she had retreated from public life due to personal trauma.
