Renowned Russian Classical Pianist

Dmitri Bashkirov (1931–2021) was a distinguished Russian pianist and teacher, renowned for his contributions to classical music both as a performer and as an educator. He was not primarily known for producing albums but rather for his live performances and his work at some of the world's leading music institutions. Bashkirov taught at the Moscow Conservatory and later at the Queen Sofía College of Music in Madrid, where he influenced a generation of pianists. His students have won prizes in international competitions and have gone on to successful careers, reflecting his significant impact on the world of classical piano.
