Damo Suzuki

Damo Suzuki

Japanese Experimental Rock Vocalist

Damo Suzuki is a Japanese musician best known for his work as the lead vocalist of the influential German krautrock band Can. Born Kenji Suzuki on January 16, 1950, in Japan, he became a part of Can in the early 1970s after being discovered by the band members while he was busking on the streets of Munich. Suzuki's improvisational singing style and enigmatic stage presence became a defining characteristic of Can's sound during his tenure with the group, contributing to classic albums such as "Tago Mago," "Ege Bamyasi," and "Future Days."
