Claudia Kurver

Claudia Kurver was born in 1984 in Halle/Saale (Germany). Her father significantly influenced her music taste with bands like AC/DC and the Scorpions. As a teenager, acts like Marilyn Manson and HIM joined her playlist, along with dark electronic sounds from bands like VNV Nation or Covenant. And thanks to her membership in a dance group, she even grew fond of Eurodance, Pop and German-Pop. In 2005, Claudia moved to Leipzig for studies, where she started exploring music more deeply. She formed the band "Mental Defect" with her husband, Daniel, in the subsequent years. However, personal differences led to the band's dissolution in 2017, which was a tough phase for Claudia. Seeking a new direction, she collaborated with Liss Eulenherz, forming the Dark-Synth-Pop duo "Sonorus7." They achieved initial success with a band contest win and an album release but eventually split due to creative differences. Reconnecting with her rock roots, Claudia attended a concert in 2021, which reignited her passion. With a clear vision, she began working with Jan David, crafting new compositions and joining forces with producers Michael Danielak and Frank Kühnlein. The band's lineup solidified with singles "Unser Moment" and "Ich glaub an Dich" and in summer 2023, her husband Daniel joined as another guitarist. Claudia remains the primary decision-maker, ensuring she maintains her musical independence.
