He is best known for penning classic songs such as "Wild Thing," made famous by The Troggs, and "Angel of the Morning," which has been covered by various artists. Taylor's career spans several decades, during which he has released numerous albums showcasing his talents in country, pop, and rock music. In addition to his solo work, he has collaborated with other artists and has seen his compositions recorded by a wide range of musicians across different genres. His contributions to music have earned him induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2016.
