Camouflage is a German synth-pop trio formed in 1983 in Bietigheim-Bissingen by Heiko Maile, Marcus Meyn, and Oliver Kreyssig. The band is often compared to Depeche Mode due to their similar style, which combines electronic music with pop melodies and introspective lyrics. They gained international recognition with their 1988 hit single "The Great Commandment" from their debut album "Voices & Images," which charted in the United States and across Europe. Over the years, Camouflage has released several albums, maintaining a loyal fan base and adapting their sound to changing musical trends while staying true to their electronic roots. Their work includes a mix of new studio albums, compilations, and remixes that showcase their evolution as artists within the electronic music genre. Notable albums include "Spice Crackers," which was released in 1995 and showed a more experimental side of the band, "The Singles," which is a compilation of their hit tracks, and "Greyscale," released in 2015, demonstrating their continued relevance in the contemporary music scene.
