Burst was a progressive metal band from Sweden that formed in 1993. The band was known for its intricate and experimental approach to metal, blending elements of hardcore punk, post-rock, and progressive rock. Burst released several albums throughout their career, with "Prey On Life" (2003), "Origo" (2005), and "Lazarus Bird" (2008) being among their most notable works. These albums were well-received within the metal community for their technical proficiency and innovative soundscapes. Despite garnering a dedicated following and critical acclaim, Burst disbanded in 2009 after completing a farewell tour. Their music continues to be influential within the progressive and post-metal scenes.
