Bonjour Tristesse

Bonjour Tristesse is a one-man black metal project from Munich, Germany, created by Nathanael, who is also known for his work with the band Thränenkind (later known as King Apathy). The project's name, which translates to "Hello Sadness" in English, is inspired by the novel of the same name by French author Françoise Sagan. Bonjour Tristesse focuses on themes such as personal struggles, societal issues, and the darker aspects of life, often blending atmospheric elements with traditional black metal. The project has been active since the mid-2000s and has released several albums and EPs. Nathanael's work under this moniker is characterized by its raw production and emotional intensity, which have garnered attention within the underground black metal scene.
