Baader Meinhof

Baader Meinhof

Baader Meinhof was a musical project by British musician and songwriter Luke Haines, who is also known for his work with the alternative rock bands The Auteurs and Black Box Recorder. The project was named after the German far-left militant group, the Red Army Faction, which was active from the 1970s to the 1990s and was commonly known as the Baader-Meinhof Group. The Baader Meinhof album, released in 1996, is a concept album that reflects on themes of political extremism and terrorism. It stands out in Haines' discography for its unique subject matter and is characterized by its blend of rock with other musical influences. The project was relatively short-lived, with the Baader Meinhof album being its only release under that name. Luke Haines continued to pursue other musical projects and maintain a solo career after this project.
