Atomkraft is a British heavy metal band that emerged during the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement in the early 1980s. The band was formed in Newcastle upon Tyne and was initially active until the late 1980s. Atomkraft is known for their high-energy performances and a sound that incorporates elements of thrash metal, which set them apart from some of their contemporaries. The band's lineup has seen several changes over the years, with founding member Tony "Demolition" Dolan being a constant presence. Although they never achieved the same level of commercial success as some of their peers, Atomkraft developed a cult following and are respected within the metal community for their contributions to the genre.
