British blues pioneer

Alexis Korner was a pivotal figure in the British blues movement, often referred to as "The Father of British Blues." Born in Paris in 1928 to an Austrian Jewish father and a Greek mother, he moved to London during his childhood. His career spanned several decades, beginning in the 1940s and continuing until his death in 1984. Korner's influence extended far beyond his own performances; he played a significant role in the development of many young musicians who would go on to become famous in their own right.
