Adam Faith

Adam Faith

British pop singer and actor

Adam Faith was a British pop singer, actor, and financial journalist who gained prominence during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Born Terence Nelhams-Wright on June 23, 1940, in Acton, London, he was one of the significant British teen idols and chart-toppers of his time. Faith's career in music began with his debut hit "What Do You Want?" in 1959, which was the first of a series of chart successes produced by John Barry. His distinctive voice and boy-next-door image made him a staple on the UK charts, with hits like "Poor Me," "Someone Else's Baby," and "The Time Has Come."
