Acid

Acid was a Belgian speed metal band that formed in the early 1980s. The group was known for being one of the few bands in the genre with a female lead vocalist, Kate de Lombaert. They were part of the first wave of European speed metal bands, and their music was characterized by fast tempos, aggressive guitar riffs, and de Lombaert's distinctive voice. Acid released their self-titled debut album "Acid" in 1983, followed by "Maniac" in the same year, and "Engine Beast" in 1985. Despite never achieving mainstream success, Acid gained a cult following in the underground metal scene and is remembered for their contribution to the development of speed and thrash metal in Europe. Their raw sound and energetic performances have earned them a place in metal history, although they disbanded in the late 1980s.
