Noise Records releases quality reissues of the first three Tankard albums. Completely remastered with new liner notes and previously unreleased visuals. Tankard is a thrash metal band from Frankfurt, Germany, formed in 1982. Along with Kreator, Destruction and Sodom, Tankard are often referred to as the "big four" of German thrash metal. They released their first album in 1986 and have since continued to write and record as they started then: fast thrash metal about beer and alcohol. Tankard's debut album "Zombie Attack" in 1986 was full of parody and thrash metal at full throttle. Many of the ten tracks originally came from the "Alcoholic Metal" demo, and the themes of horror, moshing and beer quickly won them and their hardcore punk-tinged thrash fans across the emerging thrash metal scene. Frantic, wild, catchy and above all fun, Zombie Attack gave rise to live classics like "(Empty) Tankard".
