With the album "Clique!" Patricia Barber follows up her album Nightclub, which introduced American standards and was loved by fans and critics alike. The American-American jazz musician, pianist and composer has made a name for herself among audiophiles with her music at the intersection of poetry, jazz and art song. Clique is a new collection of standards that Barber has previously played only as encores in concert, including titles by Stevie Wonder, Lee Hazlewood and Thelonious Monk. She is accompanied by her longtime contemporaries Patrick Mulcahy (bass), Jon Deitemyer (drums), Neal Alger (guitar) and Jim Gailloretto (sax).

Recording at DXD was done by Grammy winner Jim Anderson, who also mixed the album at Skywalker Sound studios. Mastering was handled by Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering). Fans have called this album Patricia Barber's best album in terms of sound.

CLIQUE!!! was edited by Scott Hull at Masterdisk directly from DXD 352.8 / 32-bit files mastered by Bob Ludwig and overseen by recording/mixing engineer Jim Anderson and Ulrike Schwartz. CLIQUE! offers the same sonic excitement, incredible detail and deep resonance as our Grammy-nominated SACD.
The gatefold cover, produced by Stoughton Printing, offers a large and spacious canvas for the original design and features UV gloss on the front and spot UV embellishments on the inside, photos and two essays on the making of the record.
