Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is releasing a solo studio album, but in addition to that, he's also releasing a unique concert DVD!As the title "Ukulele Songs" suggests, Vedder recorded this album with the instrument. Among the sixteen songs, which are led by the single "Longing To Belong", we also find two unusual collaborations. The song "Tonight You Belong To Me" was recorded with Vedder by Cat Power, and especially in the song "Sleepless Nights", the well-known Glen Hansard once again proves his vocal skills.He has been a couple with Marketa Irglova for several years, and their duet "Falling Slowly" even won the Oscar for Best Film Score.To make sure that Eddie Vedder's fans don't have enough to do in May, this outstanding artist will release a concert DVD on the same day. Entitled "Water On The Road", the DVD features footage from two August 2008 concerts Vedder performed at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. The concert footage already offers a taste of his new ukulele album in the form of "You're True", showcases the best of his stunning debut soundtrack "Into The Wild", and of course, doesn't forget the greatest hits from his home band Pearl Jam. As a bonus, there will be some exceptional cover versions that Eddie Vedder has incorporated into his concert repertoire...
