Blackfoot were one of the absolute top of southern rock. The breakthrough came when they changed their style more towards hard rock. Unforgettable albums like "Strikes", "Tomcattin" or "Marauder" and several successful singles like "Train, Train" or "Highway Song" gave them a high reputation among southern rock fans. The latter became an anthem, much like Freebird did for Lynyrd Skynyrd. In 1984, the band broke up before a new lineup was completed, which no longer included Ken Hensley, who had joined the group earlier. Like all high-quality reissues of Rock Candy, the now-announced versions feature new mastering, all-new liner notes, rare archival photos, and an actual interview with founding member Rickey Medlock. Following the previously released "Flying High", all of the band's major albums are now under one roof! Review ,,Recommendations." (Good Times, October/November 2013)
