In his compositions, he dampens feelings, holding them back so they can fully unfold, preventing the energy from draining before it reaches the listener. Meanwhile, Jerusalem-born Cohen, who has since settled in Tel Aviv and enjoys a reputation as one of the most popular jazz musicians of the last decade, is approaching his artistic zenith with "Seven Seas." In April 2009, COHEN released his first album "Aurora" on Blue Note. A work brimming with bold charm, to which the double bassist, composer, pianist and arranger added another aspect of his work - vocals. He had already sung on previous recordings, but with a certain casualness. Now his voice came loud and clear to the fore. The audience and critics were left speechless. With "Seven Seas", COHEN reached a new artistic peak.
